A driver with a higher maximum power cannot necessarily be driven to higher levels than lower power, because sensitivity and power handling are largely independent properties. In this particular example, when used at 100W, Speaker A produces the same SPL or volume that Speaker B would produce with a 200W input.

Instead of a voice coil that drives a speaker cone, a magnetostatic speaker uses a series of metal strips attached to a large film membrane.
